Decorating with Puzzles

An Alternative Decorating Idea

Want to hang a painting on your wall but you can not afford the cost? Here is a cheap alternative. Buy a puzzle. There are many puzzles now that are based on paintings. Once put together and framed it is hard to tell if it is a puzzle or painting unless you are standing right beside it.

Here's what you need.

A puzzle of a painting that you like and of the dimensions that you want.

A frame to fit your puzzle.

Puzzle glue

Optional: matboard

When you put your puzzle together make sure it is on something like a sheet of plastic or a plastic table clothe. Assemble the puzzle. With a small brush apply glue in an even coat across the surface of your puzzle. Follow the instructions on the glue bottle as to how thick it should be. Let dry. Gently turn puzzle over and apply another even coat across the back of the puzzle and let dry. This should be enough to hold your puzzle together. Frame your puzzle and if you wish a mat board may be added at this time.either over the puzzle or under. I use a frame that has glass or a thin sheet of plastic over it to make it easier to dust the puzzle and to protect it. Hang it up and enjoy.

That would be better than sticking them under my bed.

would be a neat picture idea for an office or a housewarming gift too.

i just had an idea, if you really like to do this, look for picture frames at thrith stores, the fram could be a picture you dont like, but if you like the frame you can always do away with the current picutre and use your puzzle picture.
